Removed approximately 1 ton of unneeded items, freeing up hundreds of square feet of usable storage space
ROXBOX’s 1,000-SF inventory cage was a mess. They had attempted on several occasions to get it organized, but without the knowledge or the process to do so, they continued to struggle with lost items, duplicates, clutter, and wasted time, as the workers searched for the things they needed to do their work.
We worked with the entire factory team to completely overhaul and organize their inventory cage, utilizing Lean 5S principles. We involved the entire team, including management, in the process, creating buy-in and generating excitement for the new, improved work process enabled by the exercise. The CEO projected this project to save many hours previously wasted looking for necessary tools and supplies.
